We had the same problem with some (not all) we servers on our network becoming invisible to the LAN and/or WAN.
My theory is that the problem is caused by the fact that the IP address of the firewall is associated with the MAC address of the old firewall in various caches on NICs, hubs and switches. We reset a hub and a switch & the machines became visible again. It might work for you.
