Group,
Our setup:
We have a Sonicwall Pro on firmware 6.2.0.0.
We have three servers with public IP's on the DMZ.
It has the content filter service and one VPN user.
We use NAT for the LAN (10.1.0.0/16).
The VPN configuration:
IKE with pre-shared secret.
Phase 1 set to 3DES & MD5.
Phase 2 set to ESP, DES, HMAC, MD5.
The client uses W2K/SP3 VPN client version 8 on
a cable modem. I have had to turn off the
content filter - it keeps blocking valid
websites - adding them to the trusted domains
does not work.
To fix the content filter, I plan on just wiping it
and installing firmware 6.4.0.1 (no fw upgrade here,
I want a clean slate).
A. Am I going to break VPN?
B. Should I go to an older firmware?
C. My general page says "New SonicWALL Firmware Version
6.3.1.4 is available!" Why does it not show 6.4.0.1
like mysonicwall.com shows??
Thanks in advance,
