 Dear Sirs,

Calibre Macroworld republished news entitled "Orthodox church in Croatia opens
new museum after the old one was destroyed during the war" provided by
Associated Press Worldstream, today at 9:29 AM
(http://calibre.mworld.com/m/m.w?lp=GetStory&id=199222441).

I am writing to you, asking to correct false information (in bold) provided in
this news.

<quote>

ZAGREB, Croatia-Thirteen years after its museum was blown up during the 1991
Serbo-Croat war, the Croatian Orthodox Church put its icons, manuscripts and
other works of art on show Thursday at a new location in Zagreb.

"Like the Phoenix, this exhibit has now been reborn from the ruins of the war,"
said Bishop Jovan, the head of the Orthodox Church in Zagreb.

</quote>

There is no so called the Croatian Orthodox Church.

During WWII, Nazi Croatian Ustasha regime declared a law on Croatian Orthodox
Church in 1943 (formed in 1942, dissolved in 1945), to preserve racist theses
of A. Starcevic and J. Frank on so called "Croatians of Orthodox faith" (read:
Serbs). That was one more way to decline Serbs in Croatia.

For your information: during the WWII Croatian Ustashe annihilated more than
600,000 Serbs only in one of the concentration camps - Jasenovac and more than
1,000,000 Serbs, Jews and Roma people in (Independent State) Croatia entire.

In last 10 years Croatian New-Age regime in accordance with Franciscans in
Croatia (and Vatican) are willing to "rebirth" this spooky organisation, and
separate Serbs from their faith, converting them not only to the "Eastern
Orthodox," but to change their national name, to so called "Orthodox Croats."

Also, His Grace Bishop Jovan is the Metropolitan of Zagreb and Ljubljana
Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church, as same as a reopened museum is the
Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

The facts are: Today in Zagreb the Serbian Orthodox Church in face of its
Metropolitan of Zagreb and Ljubljana Diocese, His Grace Bishop Jovan, reopened
Museum of Serbian Orthodox Church. The former Museum of SPC (SOC) was brunt
down in centre of Zagreb in 1991 by still unknown hooligans. Zagreb was not a
space of "war"-operations.

So, the icons, manuscripts and other works of art on show belong to the Serbian
Orthodox Church Museum in Zagreb.

All these facts are well known, so, you can use any common available source to
verify my claims (even Wikipedia is almost correct in this matter). Or, you can
read broadcasts of Croatian newspapers on internet which confirms my
statements.

Being a fan of AP reporting I am finding my selves very disappointed with this
offensive way of reporting from one of the most important events after 10 years
of unblessed relations in the Balkans.

Admire to read AP News with trust again, I am expecting to find out this badly
news corrected.

Best Regards,

angelina markovic, Co-president of German –Serbian Commission for the
Consistent Application of International Humanitarian Law and the Dignity of
Justice by Foundation of Truth.

P.S. I am forwarding this letter to the Calibre Macroworld to.
