15. January 2007 Orthodox Bishop of Ras-Prizren and Kosovo-Metohija: 'Sober up, Europe!' Separatist movements in Europe are monitoring Kosovo situation
Sober up, Europe! He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him. Respected Madams/Sirs: For a period of more than 15 years, Europe has been heartily assisting the shredding and disintegration of some European states, the so called communist creations (e.g. USSR, SFRY) and all under the motto of the peoples right to self-determination. Europe wishes to administer the grand finale in this process upon Serbia, striving to sever Kosovo and turn it into another Albanian state in the Balkans. <!--[endif]--> We only desire to remind you, ladies and gentlemen of Europe, that achieving this will not mark the end of a separation process, but rather the beginning of the crumbling of Europe itself. Take a better look at the appended map of Europe. Carry out your own calculations as to how many likely future states can be created in Europe. Your efforts to facilitate the separation of Kosovo from Serbia by assisting secessionists and Jihad proponents, the Kosovo Albanians who have instigated so much evil and terror before your very eyes over the Christians of Kosovo and Metohija during the last seven years, will have a domino effect in Europe and will only convince many similar discontented claimants that terror may be used to achieve political goals, and even help establish their own mini-states. As you are well aware, not a single secession, a change in border or a separation of territory has ever been achieved without blood-shed even if restricted to local clashes. Is Europe ready for new victims in its own house? Our message, therefore, is: If you succeed to forcibly separate Kosovo from Serbia, a sovereign and democratic European country, start thinking about what Europe will look like in ten years from now. <!--[endif]--> I wish you wisdom in your efforts to build a better future for us all.
