Ceku: Russia would put price on veto 17 May 2007 | 13:35 | Source: B92 *PRIŠTINA -- Russia will probably put a price tag on its veto and offer it to the West, Kosovo prime minister Agim Ceku has said.
* Kosovo prime minister Agim Ceku has said that the West could some time next week expect to receive an offer from Moscow, containing the price the West would have to pay Russia to prevent it from using its veto on a new UN Kosovo resolution, Priština’s Koha Ditore newspaper reported. “We are witnessing immense willingness on the part of the United States and the European Union to enable swift adoption of the resolution,” Ceku said. “German Chancellor Angela Merkel will travel to Moscow next Thursday to coax a support or at least abstention out of Russia,” Ceku said after the meeting with UNMIK Chief Joachim Ruecker and KFOR Commander Roland Cather.
