Situation in Kosovo “getting out of control” 3 July 2007 | 11:51 | Source: Beta *PRIŠTINA -- UNMIK Chief Joakim Ruecker has called on the international community to find a solution for Kosovo quickly. * He said that the Kosovo status solution must be found in an optimal period of time, because the “situation is getting out of control,” according to daily Koha Ditore. The daily said that United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) Chief Ruecker sent a letter to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, EU Foreign and Security Policies Chief Javier Solana and foreign ministers of Contact Group member countries. “The UNMIK Chief called on international diplomats to help the international administration, because according to its observations, the situation can potentially spiral out of control,” the daily writes. Koha Ditore cited one diplomat from a country to which the letter was sent, who said that Ruecker's letter was "a clear cry for help."
