Senad Ramović will also face trial charged with attempted murder of a policeman. Adnan Hota and Nedžad Memić are still at large, while the rest of the group are in police custody. Some of the indictees were arrested on March 16 this year, near a camp the members of the extreme Islamic sect set up on Mt. Ninaja, near Novi Pazar, in south-western Serbia. A large cache of weapons, ammunition, explosives and other military equipment was seized by special police at the time. On April 20, in the village of Donja Trnava, also near Novi Pazar, a hand grenade was thrown at MUP officers as they approached a house where one of the group leaders was hiding. Police responded with machine-gun fire, killing Ismail Prentić, the brother of Mirsad Prentić, arrested previously in March. One policeman was wounded in the exchange of fire. The Special Prosecution has today in Belgrade asked for all the suspects to remain in custody, and to have those still at large tried in absentia.
