The purpose of the conference was to launch technical training programs in the fields of energy for experts from south-east Europe, Moldavia and the Ukraine. Mining and Energy Minister Popović said that “despite the fact that according to all the prepared and submitted documentation for this conference, Kosovo’s status was clearly defined in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1244, Kosovo was announced as a country-participant in the conference, alongside Serbia and other countries in the region,” Popović said. Before he left the conference, he made a very stringent protest to the organizers of the conference, the Slovenian government and the British Embassy.
