According to the NATO General John Craddock, the North Atlantic Alliance could in this context boost the strength of its 16,000 strong force in the Serbian province. The UN-set deadline for making a decision on Kosovo’s status is December 10th this year, after which date the international mediators, namely the European Union, Russia and the United States will submit their report to the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Kosovo’s ethnic Albanians press for independence for the province.
