    SERB POLICEMEN IN GNJILANE SUSPENDED FOR 48 HOURS, ELSHANI

headquarters decided on Friday to suspend for 48 hours policemen of 
Serbian nationality in the Gnjilane area who for the third day in a row 
are protesting against the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo, 
refusing to join the KPS chain of command.

to the European Union (EU) Vladimir Chizov reiterated on Friday that the 
mission the EU was sending to Kosovo and Metohija was illegal, and at 
the same time denied the possibility that independent Kosovo became a 
member of the OSCE.

recognise the unilaterally proclaimed independence of the Serbian 
province of Kosovo, since that would represent a dangerous precedent in 
international law, which is not in Argentina's national interest,

    SERB POLICEMEN STAGE PROTEST IN STRPCE

municipality of Strpce decided on Friday not to obey the orders of the 
Kosovo Police Service (KPS) headquarters in Pristina, and referring to 
UN Security Council Resolution 1244, demanded to cooperate only with the 
UNMIK police.

    SERB POLICEMEN IN CENTRAL KOSOVO DISOBEY KPS

Police Service (KPS) in the police stations in central Kosovo decided at 
9 a.m. on Friday to disobey the orders of the KPS Main Headquarters in 
Pristine, as a sign of protest against the unilateral proclamation of 
Kosovo independence.

evening warned that the so-called Serb issue in Kosovo and Metohija

authority from the UN mission in the province to the EULEX mission has
