June 3, 2008 The issue of the missing Serbs in Kosmet will be soon on the agenda of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe – stated Vice president of the institution and head of the Serbian delegation Milos Aligrudic. At the end of his visit in the Province, he stated that despite strong obstruction, most member states were in favor of the report to be prepared by the Human Rights Committee. Aligrudic pointed that it is very important that the issue of the missing Serbs is again discussed not only in the Council of Europe, but also in other institutions of the international community. Obstruction stem from the fact that former KLA leaders, directly responsible for war crimes and disappearance of a great number of the Serbs, now in the political leadership of the province, and that they were supported by the US and some European countries that hastily recognized self-proclaimed independence of Kosmet – said Aligrudic.
