It will help create convincing evidence on implementation of the Agreement which is necessary for assessment on acquiring the EU member candidate status, Rehn told the press conference after the meeting with Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Mladjan Dinkic. Rehn reiterated that in 2009 Serbia might receive the candidate status and enter the white Schengen list, and that the EC supports these goals. He believes that Serbia will do everything to successfully complete cooperation with The Hague, that is, to arrest and extradite Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic, the remaining two indictees. Dinkic expressed satisfaction with Rehn¢s encouragement to accelerate Serbia on its European path. Announcing that a package of laws regarding the white Schengen list might be adopted next week, Dinkic said that he presented to Rehn Serbia¢s plans for construction of transportation infrastructure. KERMABON: AGREEMENT WITH BELGRADE AND EULEX NOT FAR AWAY October 17, 2008 The Brussels-Belgrade agreement on the EU Mission deployment in Kosmet is not far away, stated Head of the EU Mission Yves de Kermabon. He, however, added that he still has some reserves and that one should be cautious in specifying timelines for final agreement. He is convinced that the Mission will be operative by the end of winter throughout Kosmet territory.
