Sirens and church bells sounding in memory of innocent victims 24 March 2009. 13:45 ImageToday at noon, with sounds of sirens and church bells, the Serbian citizens have paid respect in one minute of silence to all the victims of NATO bombing, that started on this day ten years ago. At noon, Serbia has stopped for a minute – all activities in working places, schools, institutions and public places ceased to honor the victims. In all Serbian schools special programs were organized, and commemoration gatherings were held in the locations of NATO bombing around the country. Similar gatherings were also held in Russia, Canada, USA, Greece and other countries with Serbian Diaspora.
