Many K. Serb villages still without electricity 30 March 2009 | 17:35 | Source: FoNet GNJILANE -- Although power supply was restored to the Kosovo Serb village of Šilovo, some 6,000 Serbs from the area still do not have electricity in their homes. The situation is also affecting local schools and hospitals and has been going on for nearly a month. "The power was restored to Šilovo in the same way it was cut off, suddenly and with no explanation. However, about ten more Serb villages are still without electricity and nobody knows if and when they will be reconnected," said Kosovsko Pomoravlje District chief Dragan Nikolić. He warned that Kosovo Serbs, left without electricity for weeks, are "at the end of their tether", and expecting concrete measures to solve the problem.
