Before updating I just checked 6.4 upgrade notes and current.html
(I was updating pre-6.4 to -current). I did find the commit when I looked
for it but it's easy to miss ("...and remove the old 6.3/6.4 announce
compat code") so definitely needs to make it into 6.5 upgrade notes.
