yes, consistency is good, but let's have more usable (copy/pastable)
results. # signs are great to show "do as root", but prevent
copy/paste. As virtually all system modifications that will be on this
page need to be done as root, so add a statement to that effect, and
remove the prompt chars and put stuff to be entered "as is" in bold face
(may reconsider that later). Also, using <blockquote><pre> ...
</pre></blockquote> instead of "some number of spaces" for hopefully
better consistency.
