Albert,

the problem with the splitpane should not hard to fix, i will see that i could
change this until tommorow. I have some other small fixes too.

All my changed are checked in without trouble. I was the only who had
checked-out files in the V.2.1 branch, so no merging was needed. 
Don't know if Rob has done some tests with my changes or not, so i can't say if
everything is working at the moment.
