Hallo Albert,

Many thanks for such a quick reply.  I changed the L&F to Kunststoff and everything is working well now.  I found the installation, both server & client, to be relatively easy.  Also, this was the first time installing Tomcat so I’m happy with the result.  I’ve looked at other version control systems (e.g. subversion, cvsnt) and found them just too difficult set up and nobody that I work with is willing to commit to a product that does not have a GUI.  So far there have been no further problems however during the next week I will begin to actually use the application.

Cheers,

Ian

This error was just reported yesterday in the devel list. If you choose any other L&F in the preferences dialog, you should not get that alert. Mind, though, that someone has also had trouble with one of the L&Fs whose name begins with an 'M' (sorry for the lack of precission, blame Marc Palmer for that 8-P), despite I haven't been able to reproduce it.

There's also a sort of open issue about the .source.jam files location (don't worry if you don't know what the hell I am talking about), so wait until a new version with a correction for that is released before playing with it.

Have you found any other problem after your email? You must like risk, to use a beta version... ;-)

Thanks,

Albert.

Subject: [SourceJammer-users] Client Error Message

I am using the latest Windows client 2.1.2.0 beta (March 24, 2005) on a Win2K pc.  When executing the client using either sj_gui.bat or sourcejammer.exe, the following error is reported:

com.jgoodies.plaf.windows.ExtWindowsLookAndFeel

I select OK from the error dialogue box and everything continues on as expected.
