The LAF setting in clientconf is only used the very first time you start your 
SJ client. After
that, this value gets written to a user preferences file managed by Java. The 
setting in
clientconf no longer applies. 

If kunststoff is the default LAF in the Linux client download, well, I don't 
know why it's trying
to load the Windows LAF on startup. I'll have to take a look. I no longer have 
a linux machine
around to play with, so I may not have tested the Linux client release as 
thoroughly as I should
have.
