OK. I think I see how to fix this. Make sure to back up the SJ archive before
you try to make the change. But here's what I think will fix it:

1) Stop the SJ server.
2) Edit the 593 file . . .
3) The Child element in the file with UniqueID of 1318 has a NodeType of 3.
Change this to 4.
4) Restart the SJ server.

See if the problem is gone.

I have no idea how this could have happened. I've never seen this before. Good
luck with the fix. Let me know.

I'm curious too.

Would you mind doing something for me so I can investigate further?

1) Right click the file that's having problems and pull up the Details
dialog.
2) Click the File Info tab. Note the File ID.
3) Go to your SourceJammer server's Archive directory. Find the
directory for your archive.
4) Go into the file directory.
5) Find the file matching the File ID in step 2.
6) Send this file to me.

This will help me diagnose the problem. And none of your code is stored
in this file--only information about version history and so on.

Thanks.

Thanks,
I restarted the SJ server and I have doing this for different reason
and I got to the same point that you saw in the picture.
I am afrad that one change that I made was a big comment that I pasted
I was put to the right side of the file. This comment has about 10 or
 20
lines and has space at the right side of each line. I am just imaging I
do not know.

Thanks for trying.

Otherwise, I will continue to check this file from the new directory
where I put my lastest version and keeping going from there.

I am just curious about this problem.

Cheers,

Carlos

Hi, Carlos.

Believe it or not, but this is the first time I've ever heard of anyone
seeing this error message.

What the error means is that the SJ server found a diff file where it
expected to find the full source of your file. I don't know how this
situation could have happened. It should be possible to repair the
archive, but it might be tricky.

Actually, before we get to the tricky stuff, try restarting your SJ
server to see if that corrects the problem. Let me know if it doesn't.

Yes. I can replicate the error. Attached is a bmp file with the screen
shot.

Thanks a lot,

Hi, Carlos.

I'm sorry you're having trouble with SJ. Can you recreate the error?
 If
so, could you send me a screen shot of the error message or an error
stack trace?

Thanks.

I checked out a file and worked on and when I tried to check in S.J.
told me that is corrupted or the previous version. So, I was not able
to check in. I created another file in the repository and add the
subject file as new file. I did that because I want to keep the history
of my file (pl/sql package)

But I would like to learn how can I correct this error? I know my file
is not corrupted because I was able to check-in as a new file in S.J.

Thanks for your help,

Carlos O. Monzon
