Basicly the maintainer should notify sj-discuss (cross-posting to sw-porters wouldn't hurt). In theory it should probably be re-voted on, to cause a check to be made, make sure nothing slips by.
There is nothing that automatically takes care of that, although I think we have had some discussion of the topic. There are a number of improvements that have been requested, but the sun-internal team that develops sj has limited resources, and opening the source would have to clear sun-legal.
