More than 100 suspected cattle rustlers are being detained in Baburzit prison, in Yirol West County, Lakes state, the authorities there have confirmed. The officer in-charge of the prison, Maker Dhieu, told Radio Miraya on Thursday that about 60 of the suspects have not yet had their day in court due to the closure of Special court in Yirol West County. He said that the closure of the court in September has led to the backlog of cases and the continued detention of the suspects. The Yirol East County commissioner Bullen Bol Chinbai has appealed to the judiciary in the Republic of South Sudan to speed up the trial of suspects. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
