An NGO working in the media sector has organizes a two-week training
of radio journalists in Juba.

Speaking to radio Bakhita, trainer Redouan Harrak said Free Voice
organized the training to prepare journalists in South Sudan and to
set up some new radio stations.

Mr Harrak stresses that their main target was to give meaning to the
media landscape in South Sudan and support the independent media and
journalists.

He added that the training includes basic and advanced radio journalism.

Trainee Gabriel Kiir expressed his joy for the rare opportunity to
learn new skills.

He said the participants are learning how to use recording machines
and editing programmes.

Mr Kiir added that advanced students learn how to make radio programme
and interview techniques.

Free Voice said it plans other actions to develop radio journalism
across South Sudan.
