According Reuters News Agency, the owners of the Ratna Shradha, Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd, were given approval by an English court this week to deliver the crude oil to Japan's Kiire port with the payment held by the court until ownership was established. The Ratna Shradha is one of at last three tankers forming part of some $815 million in oil revenues that South Sudan's President Salva Kiir accused Sudan of "looting" and which the government of Khartoum said provided compensation for unpaid transit fees. The commissioner of Melut County, Francis Ayul Yuar has said that the shutdown of oil production companies has resulted to lack of Jobs. Addressing the UNMISS delegation to Melut county, Commissioner Yuar said if the oil shutdown continues for long it will eventually increase unemployment rates that will lead to a hike in crimes.
