We can destroy the Sudanese war planes-SPLA spokesperson
Thursday, 19 April 2012 08:42 South Sudan >>> . We can destroy the Sudanese military planes even before they take off where they are, Col. Philip Aguer, Sudan People' Liberation Army (SPLA) spokesman has said. Aguer said the SPLA is not shooting down the Khartoum war planes because the current hostility between South Sudan and Sudan, is not a full scale war. "If a war is declared, the shortest way to stop them is to destroy them on the ground. We know where they are stationed. They are very close to our borders". The spokesperson however, said a full scale war may break out if diplomacy to resolve the outstanding issues of borders and oil fails. "Let us hope that diplomacy will prevail. But if diplomacy fails, I can assure you that our sky will be safe. The SPLA is developing its capacity, air defense capacity. So there is no big worry on that." -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
