April 20, 2012 (SSNA) -- All South Sudanese residing overseas, foreign
lands, or in Diaspora, if you will, need to plan and coordinate a
unified day for rallies in global or major cities around the world
urging the super world powers to stop Khartoum aggression against
Republic of South Sudan.

Since the Jallaba is working day and night --- spreading lies around
the world by all means, South Sudanese around the globe should not be
sleeping as usual. Our late leader, Dr. John Garang de Mabior, use to
call us (Diaspora) “front 7” because front 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6 were
Blue Nile, Northern Upper Nile, Western Upper Nile, Northern Bhar El
Ghazal, Greater Equatoria, and Southern Kordofan State.

All these fronts played crucial roles during the war. Diaspora role
was not that effective from the beginning of the war since the
Diasporic communities of South Sudanese were not organized and
functioning the way they are today across the globe. They began to
organize themselves into proper Diasporic communities, separate groups
of common national or cultural origin, who want to maintain their
identity within the mainstream cultures of the host countries around
late the 1980s to earlier and late 1990s during the peak days of
immigration to Western countries and other parts of the world.

In addition to this, CPA comes about as a result of many factors,
including the massive humanitarian crises in South Sudan and other
liberated areas, and migration of Sudanese in a big numbers to foreign
countries. All these factors were a recipe for the international
community to consider and address the Sudanese Second Civil War and
they did. Oh, yes, they did help resolve that conflict and that is why
South Sudan becomes independent.

Now, the two Sudans (South and North) are caught up again in
post-succession issues and are on a brink of full Third Sudanese Civil
War. South Sudan is being aggressed by Republic of Sudan. And because
South Sudan acted in self-defence, the international community is
again ignoring such aggression and calling South Sudan to stop
defending itself from the aggressor (Republic of Sudan.) This is a
serious position to intervene the current crisis. The world should
listen to both sides of the current conflict carefully and act
accordingly.

This is a message we ought to get across to the international
community. We need to conduct rallies across the globe on a particular
day agreed upon in major cities where our folks are dwelling.

Global cities and unified rallies

What I mean by global cities are the major cities of the world whereby
most businesses are being run on daily basis, where most people live,
where world (people) come together, where major world events take
place, where all things are possible..., in this case it is where
majority of South Sudanese are living or found.

These include, but not limited to the following countries and cities:
In USA: New York, Washington DC, Chicago, Iowa City, Omaha, Nebraska,
Tucson & Phoenix, Arizona, Houston & Dallas Texas. These are few
cities where a sizeable majority of South Sudanese are dwelling in the
United States. In Canada: Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Winnipeg,
Toronto, Ottawa, Waterloo region, Windsor, London-Ontario,
Hamilton-Ontario, and Brooks, etc. In Australia: Melbourne, Sydney,
Perth, Brisbane, Canberra and Adelaide, etc. In UK: Metropolitan
London and other cities. In Scandinavian countries: Capital cities of
Norway, Finland, Netherland, Sweden, and other potential European
capitals. In Middle East: Cairo, Alexandria and other potential
cities. In Israel: Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and other potential cities. In
East Africa: Nairobi, Kampala, Nakuru, Elderot, Addis-Ababa, etc. In
South African regions: Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Cape Town as well
as Harare, Zimbabwe.

These are the major cities, I believe, where South Sudanese are found
across the world.

Coordination and organization of rallies

It should be collective efforts. Community leaders, SPLM Chapters,
GOSS Liaison Representatives, Youth leadership, women group, and
church leaders, etc. Should come together and organize these rallies
because this is our national duty and obligation as citizens of South
Sudan. Nationalism and patriotism always require collective efforts to
achieve the desired national goals. These two things: Nationalism and
patriotism always require sacrifice and commitment anywhere, anytime.
This is our time to answer our national call for a duty.

When these rallies should be conducted

I personally purpose next weekend. April 27 or 28, 2012 is suitable.
This coming weekend should serves as informational period as well as
organization...

South Sudanese in Calgary & surrounding cities, in Western Canada are
set to conduct their rally this weekend (Saturday, April 21, 2012.)
Other cities will follow suit soon. But, let me hear from you friends.
