*Omer Bashir: Wipe out South Sudanese and destroy all churches in Sudan*
During the re-occupation of Panthou after the SPLA withdrawal from it, Omer
Bashir of Sudan has repeatedly issued important orders to his civilian and
army jihadists. The international community is enjoying the saga. Omer
Bashir said that:
· The South Sudanese are insects that must be wiped out.
· The language the South Sudanese understand is guns and bullets.
· The government of South Sudan must be overthrown by force.
· And therefore the Sudan government does not want talks with the
Republic of South Sudan.
Omer Bashir is backing up this very position with daily bombardment of
towns and villages inside South Sudan, killing civilians and destroying
infrastructure.
But, the international community has failed to convince itself about this
dangerous regime and is apportioning blame on both the republic of South
Sudan and Sudan. Both countries cannot be all right or wrong at the same
time. It is hypocrisy and conspiracy on the part of the international
community to level both countries as wrong or right in this context.
Aggression and human rights violation has been a monopoly of Khartoum
without condemnation from the international community. Abyei is occupied
by Sudan army and the international community keeps quiet. People of South
Sudan are bombed daily with a promise to wipe them out, and the
international community ignores it.
Bashir is refusing to go for peaceful talks with South Sudan while
continuing military provocation and aggression on the people of South
Sudan. And the international community is still indifferent.
Omer Bashir and his administration feel that they are right to occupy
territories of South Sudan because they have always carried out genocide in
Darfur, South Sudan, Southern Kordofan and Southern Blue Nile regions with
impunity and nobody questions this arrogance.
Although late, the SPLM appreciates the positive response of the
international community to the SPLA withdrawal of forces from Panthou.
The United Nations, the African Union, the IGAD countries, the United
States of America, the United kingdom, the European Union and the
international community, all bear witness to the promise of genocide of the
people of Sudan by Omer Bashir.
SPLM is ready to go back for talks with Sudan government and calls upon the
international community to stop Sudan from aerial bombardment of South
Sudan and to relinquish claims over the South Sudan territories.
