 Thursday, 17 May 2012 14:35

The civilians of Nuba Mountains continue to suffer indiscriminate
bombimgs by the Sudanese forces leaving behind great pain and
sufferings with immense consequences.

A reliable source told CRN via e-mail that Sudan’s antonovs keep
flying over civilian areas and the population panics especially at
night hours.

A great number of civilians, especially women and children, died and
many more sustain horrendous injuries in the bombardments from
incendiary and chemical bombs.

Many people have lost their houses, livestock and other properties
after several air strikes.

Aerial bombardments are killing many cattle and many more were stolen
by Arab nomads.

Lack of food and clean water are some of the major difficulties
affecting the population in Nuba Mountains.

Humanitarian organizations are not allowed to bring relief to the area
and many people take refuge in South Sudan with the support of local
authorities.
