AJC - UNSC Resolution for army pullout from Abyei constitutes injustice Sudan Media Centre Khartoum, 20/05/12 – NCP representatives at the Abyei Joint Oversight Committee say the United Nations Security Council resolution demanding a SAF pullout from Abyei is an injustice to the people of the area. Head of the committee, Al Khair Al Fahim told the SMC that the resolution “does not take the interest of the Abyei people into consideration and merely concentrates on outstanding issues related to South Sudan”. He further noted that the resolution focused on asking for a SAF pullout from Abyei without taking into consideration the security situation and safety of the people in the area. Moreover, he reminded that the SPLM violated United Nations Security Council resolution 2046 through propagating false information against Sudan.
