The Central Equatoria State Parliament has moved a motion directing
that all investment activities taking place in the Gabat residential
area in Juba, stop with immediate effect.

The MPs are concerned that investors are encroaching onto land
demarcated for more than 90 families.

The Motion was moved by Gerald Francis, after a one hour debate and
seconded by Ghada James Killa, who recommended that the investors who
have set up projects on the land and have legal documents be relocated
to another area.

Killa proposed that the matter be investigated further.
