Business Union constructs 16 food security centres in Jonglei Sudan Radio Service Juba, 19/06/12 - The South Sudan Business Union says it has completed the construction of sixteen food security centers in Jonglei state. The centers will be officially inaugurated by next week. The chairman of South Sudan Business Union, Ayii Duang Ayii spoke to SRS at Juba International Airport upon his return from Bor on Monday. [Ayii Duang]: “We had a field visit together with the government and we received sixteen centers for food security, these are centers where people can buy food stuffs. We also received some petrol stations which have been constructed. We have planned to construct four petrol stations and one strategic reserve in each of the ten states in order to provide enough fuel. That was the purpose of our visit. This work is being carried out in all the ten states and their counties. The purpose is that the South Sudan Business Union wants to ensure that it provides adequate services to the people of South Sudan in all the states.” Mister Ayii said that the Business Union wants to solve fuel crisis and provide enough food to the people of South Sudan at subsidized prices. He also said that they will provide job opportunities for returnees who were deported from Israel, and those who are yet to come from other countries.
