The event was also attended by South Sudan’s newly-hired international coach Zoran Djordjevic who scouted for new talent for the national team. Officials said South Sudan is preparing for a regional football tournament slated for Rwanda later this year. Four teams; the ECS, AIC, Catholic and SPC (Kamsimia) competed for the trophy during the 3-day tournament that began last week. Besides the trophy, the winners received a ball with the other teams each receiving a ball in consolation. Officials said the tournament was held in a bid to unite the state’s youth.
