A member of the National Assembly has made public the numbers of four
bank accounts to allow the public to check on her personal assets.

Awut Deng Acuil said in a statement received by CRN that she has four
bank accounts: two in dollars and two in pounds with Kenya Commercial
Bank in Juba and in Nairobi.

Mama Awut added that she received a letter from President Salva Kiir
Mayardit about ‘stolen money’ and revealed her bank account numbers
for the public to scrutinize her personal financial information and
her background.

She said she was not above the law and she welcomed any investigation.

Mama Awut is a MP for Tonj East.

She resigned as Minister of Labour and Public Services at the end of
October due to undisclosed reasons.

The post remains vacant.
