The Nuba Mountains primary eight candidates sitting for the Kenya
Certificate of Primary Education (K.C.P.E), in 2012 have been delayed
for coaching due to logistical problems resulting from war in the
region.

Last year the candidates doing KCPE began their tuition on July 18.

The Assistant Supervisor of Education in Kumbur Payam, Botros Kuku
Anur, that candidates usually begin their coaching around July, but
due to the financial problems and restless situation in the area, the
education authorities delayed the course,Voice of Peace reported.

Earlier on, the Secretary of Education in the Nuba Mountains stated
that the budget allocated for schools was used to resolve other
financial problems when the war began in 2011.

Mr. Kuku added that coaching this year will be in English and Arabic
in order to include those who studied in the Arab territories.

Mr. Kuku said candidates should be ready because coaching may begin in
a month or so.

The Assistant Education Supervisor said the 98 candidates will sit for
the exams out of 117, the rest did not pay their examination fee this
year in Kumbur Payam.

Last year coaching started early because there was no war.
