Media, Pension, Peace bills tabled in parliament

The Deputy Minister of Justice, Paulino Wanawila Unango on Monday presented the Media bills to parliament for deliberation and subsequent enactment into law. The bills were tabled alongside the Civil Service Pension Scheme Bill 2012 and the Peace Commission Bill 2012. The media bills, once passed into laws, will regulate operation of media. The Civil Service Pension Scheme Bill proposes a retirement age of 65 and also addresses entitlements and requirements for retirement. The Peace Commission Bill would help mitigate conflict.
