The Council of Ministers in Central Equatoria State (CES) has ordered
former ministers and other government officials to vacate government
houses within 21 days.

"That resolution came as a result of people who are in government
houses specifically designated for ministers. These are tied houses
and there are people who are occupying them but they are not
ministers", said Francis Barson Yousa, the CES Information Minister.

"The ministers are supposed to move into those houses. Now we want
those people to leave within 21 days such that the ministers can be
able to come in".

According to Barson, some of the ministers stay in private houses far
away from the office which is, he says, is risky.

"For example one of our ministers is staying at Gudele which is quite
far from his office and we want him to be in a government house in the
area. So this resolution is meant for that purpose."

The Council of Ministers also formed a committee, headed by the State
Minister of Finance and Economic Development, to review the contract
between Bros Company and the State Ministry of Information and
Culture.

The minister says some of the activities of Nyakuron Cultural Center
are also being reviewed. He couldn't however divulge more on the
activities at the Cultural Center.
