Sunday, 22 July 2012 07:29 Lagu Francis South Sudan >>> . The Egyptian female journalist who was released from a Sudanese prison recently has disclosed to Radio Miraya that she met a number of South Sudanese women in the prison. Shima Addil said some other women are from Nuba Mountains, alleged members of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North. Addil was detained earlier this month by Sudanese security personnel while reporting on the Khartoum protests. She described the conditions inside the prison as appalling; saying that many detainees are in a bad psychological state. She says the detainees who are sick are denied proper medical treatment. Talking to Radio Miraya over the weekend, Addil however said she did not witness any cases of torture of detainees. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
