Students of the University of Juba have petitioned the government to
removal the university's administration.

The members of the General Students' Assembly say the Vice Chancellor,
Dean of Student Affairs, the Secretary of Academic Affairs and the
Principal should all be dismissed for failing to implement government
orders to provide accommodation and re-instate the dissolved student
union.

Marco Manyang, a student representative, handed the petition to the
Dean of Students, Dr. Lino Gwaki Barakja.

"The government of south Sudan should do something to remove vice
chancellor, the principal, the secretary of academic affairs, the
deanship of student right now, accommodation should be available for
all student as per the presidential directive to his envoy and other
students services such as water, food, and electricity. Student
activities in the university such as political rallies and JUSU should
be there as per the presidential directive to his envoy, and the
increase of tuition fees ranging from normal registration of 75 pound
to 275 pounds which is un acceptable," said Manyang.

The students also complained that some of them have not received their
identification cards.

Dr. Lino Gwaki explained to the students that the issue of IDs is the
responsibility of the different colleges.

"Every student is to get his/her ID there are some collages which are
not responding whether you are in the list what or in the list what
just to be very clear the other issues I have nothing to do with it I
have to pass it forward when things are passed down I only implement
but I don't decide."
