SLM-AW delegation arrives in Israel to mobilize support
Sudanvisiondaily.com Khartoum, 15/8/2012 – In a visit the second of
its kind to Israel, a delegation from Sudan Liberation Movement Abdul
Wahid faction (SLM-AW) arrived in Tel Aviv on 3rd August comprising
spokesperson Mohamed Abdul Rahman and Secretary of Peace Secretariat
Abdul Latif Abdul Rahman Abakar. The visit was arranged by the
Paris-based Richard, an Israeli in charge of coordination of contacts
with SLM-AW.
Reliable sources said the visit aims to secure financial support for
the movement and to unify the movement's office under the chairmanship
of Noureldin Abdul Rasool in wake of the differences that rock the
movement's office in Tel Aviv and the migration of Abdul Wahab Al
Cardinal, former head of the office to Australia. The delegation
arrived in Israel from Kampala, Uganda and is expected to wrap up the
visit on Thursday.
It is to be noted that Abdul Wahid Nur has been keeping his relations
with Israel in total secrecy to avoid embarrassing many of his
commanders who oppose such links.
