H.E Kiir receives credentials of Sudan and four other ambassadors

JUBA, 22 October 2012 - The President of the Republic H.E. Gen. Salva
Kiir Mayardit last week on 17 October 2012 in a special ceremony
conducted at state House in Juba, received credentials of Dr. Mutrif
Sedique as an Extra-ordinary Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to
the Republic of South Sudan.


Dr. Sadique expressed pleasure of being the first Sudanese ambassador
appointed to the new state of South Sudan saying that his appointment
as an ambassador to South Sudan is to strengthen opportunities of
bilateral cooperation between the two neighboring countries, adding
that his appointment will contribute a lot in working side by side
with South Sudan toward the implementation of the cooperation
agreement signed recently in Addis Ababa which will also contribute in
flourishing of the two countries.

Besides that President Kiir also received credentials of four more
ambassadors accredited to the Republic of South Sudan namely:
Ambassador Dedan Lot Madugu, Ambassador of Nigeria, Amb. Ghirmai
Ghebremariam Abbai, Ambassador of Eritrea, Amb. Ayman Ahmed Mokhtar
Ambassador of Egypt and Amb. Alian Hanssen, Ambassador of Belgium.


The four ambassadors expressed commitment of their countries to
strengthen the bilateral relationships with the young nation of South
Sudan.

In another development at least two South Sudanese ambassadors
assigned for diplomatic mission outside the country bid farewell to
the President the same day as they left the country. The ambassadors
are Amb. Bol Wek Agoth, Amb. of South Sudan to Norway and Amb. Permena
Makuet, Ambassador of South Sudan to Nigeria.
