3,000 SOUTH SUDANESE JAILED IN US WAITING DEPORTATION Wednesday, 24 October 2012 13:55 | At least 3,000 South Sudanese are in jail in the United States of America waiting deportation because they fell into trouble with the law.
Vice President Riek Machar told the press at Juba international Airport Wednesday that at least four people will be deported every week from the US to South Sudan. He said he advised the South Sudanese community in the US to abide by the law. The Vice President revealed that the South Sudanese embassy in the US created a Diaspora desk to address these issues locally instead of referring them to Juba. Dr Machar said he met with investors in New York who want to put their money in major projects including railways, oil industry and agriculture. The Vice President returned to Juba today after representing President Salva Kiir Mayardit at the UN General Assembly in New York last month. He also visited six US states to enlighten the South Sudanese community on the cooperation agreement signed with Sudan last month. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
