TORIT, 22 February 2013 [Gurtong] – The 14 SAJP’s beneficiaries were
trained on management according to a South Sudan National Police
Service’s Training Advisor, Safety and Access to Justice Programme,
Paul A Reilly who undertook the training alongside Captain Jackson
Lodiong Lutwor of the National Police Training Academy at Rajaf, Juba.

“The training course was a 2 week Training Management course held at
the Torit Hotel for 14 police staff from the local area. The idea was
to train them in presentation skills techniques to enable them to
cascade training to the police stationed across the state for whatever
purpose or training course is required, but with emphasis on the
delivery of Community Oriented Policing to local staff in order to
maximise the benefit to the local communities that they serve,” Reilly
said.

The SAJP’s Police Advisor in SSNPS, Dr. Alan Edward expressed that the
concluded training is valuable and remains a costly gift to the
beneficiaries and the people of the state.

He urged the SSNPS to help execute skills and knowledge acquired.

Captain Jackson Lodiong Lutwor of the National Police Training Academy
observed that the graduates will now be able to perform well
especially in regard to community policing techniques.

Among others, the training included introduction to complex
Intelligence Cycle and Crime Pattern Analysis.
