S. Sudan set on partnership with Gazprom
Voice of Russia, 27/2/2013 – South Sudan has called on Russia’s
Gazprom to launch a number of joint oil and gas projects.
While visiting Gazprom’s Moscow offices last week, South Sudanese
Ambassador Chol Deng Alack said Sudanese corporations were impressed
by Gazprom-run projects and their impressive yields and would be happy
to have the Russian gas holding as a partner.
South Sudan’s economy leans on oil production with proven oil reserves
amounting to 7 billion barrels. Oil revenues account for more than 98%
of the country’s budget
