FRESH CLASHES WOUND SCORES IN JONGLEI Tuesday, 19 March 2013 06:29 | Fresh clashes between rebel and army forces in Jonglei State have wounded at least 62 people in Pibor County.
The International Committee of the Red Cross said in a press statement issued on Monday that one of its surgical teams based in Malakal Teaching Hospital was in Pibor operating on 30 wounded people who needed surgery due to bullet wounds. The press release did not speak about deaths. Melker Mabeck, who heads the Red Cross delegation in Juba, said fighting was ongoing and all those wounded were entitled to receive medical care. He added that with the onset of the rainy season, reaching the wounded would become increasingly difficult. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
