The Sudanese Government has agreed to send home 852 South Sudanese
prisoners convicted for minor offenses.

Acting Government spokesperson Madut Biar said 216 inmates arrive in
Juba on Monday with airfares paid by the Sudanese Government.

Mr Biar said the Government of South Sudan has to foot the bill of the
remaining 636 people.

He added that they will be flown directly to Malakal, Wau and Juba.

The Minister said the prisoners were released after negotiations with
the Sudanese Government.

He added that the repatriation of prisoners sentenced for serious
