Three young girls abducted by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) have been captured in Tombura at the border with the Central African Republic (CAR). 28 April 2013 By Joseph Nashion YAMBIO, 27 April 2013 [Gurtong] –This follows the arrest of two wives of Joseph Kony plus his son Opio Joseph Kony in early April. Tombura County Commisioner Babiro Charles said the home guards commonly known as arrow boys are working closely in making sure the community is safe from the LRA attacks adding that when he spoke to the one of the girls by the names Migaranfuyo, she said the LRA fighters are majorly now living in CAR. She said they fear South Sudan because whenever they try to come to South Sudan they always fall in the hands of the arrow boys and they are badly killed. The girl added that the fighters scare the abductees most of the time by killing other colleagues in front of them and they keep reminding them if any one attempts to escape from the team and then later found, they shall be killed in the same way. The commissioner also disclosed that the girl said most of the group that came to seek food at the border was mostly young girls and they confirmed that the LRA leader Joseph Kony at moment is living in CAR and the last they were together with him was when the rebels in CAR took over the city of Bambagie there after Joseph Kony gave an order for the people to go out in different groups to seek food. Babiro urged the community at the border to continue with their cultivation as the home guards are in control to make sure the security is up to date adding that people should communicate in case of any information regarding the LRA fighters in the area adding that this is the season when they look for food items and abducting children from work.
