[Peter Lokale Nakimangole] By Peter Lokale Nakimangole TORIT, 17 May 2013 [Gurtong] – He notes that this kind of needle struggles will only helps to sink the party deeper and deeper and it’s not helpful. He appeals to the top leadership of the party and the entire party members to remain united against political divisions by a few members of the party. Okany holds party members responsible for any future failure of the party saying no one from outside would come to rescue the ongoing internal political rife for power struggles for positions and he instead prefers guaranteeing implementation of the party’s policies by the very party political leaders and members through popular consultations right grassroots to the highest level of the party leadership. He insists that if anything instead the part members should embrace the SPLM party core values and principles’ ranging from the spirit of comradeship, integrity, peace, freedom, unity, justice, equality and prosperity among others as far as party and nation progress is concerned. The leader made the remarks while addressing a multitude of people at SPLM State Secretariat in Torit at a simultaneous installation of a new elected SPLM-Women League team and distinguished commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the SPLM/A. Though he denies any presence of the practice in his state, the leader Okanyi has deeply worried about the rising wrangles over positions inside the party at national level.
