TONJ OPENS GUINEA WORM CENTRE Friday, 17 May 2013 14:50 | Tonj South County on Wednesday opened Guinea Worm Centre in Tonj Civil Hospital.
Guinea Worm Centre director Peter Malook told Don Bosco Radio they have opened a new centre to cater for guinea worm cases. He urged the people of Tonj to fight guinea worm by coming to the centre when they get guinea worm symptoms. Mr Malook said his staff will move around in the county, payams and bomas to treat cases of guinea worm. The director said the reason why people with guinea worm should not go into the water is because guinea worms spread by vomiting in water and that can affect others. Mr Malook said the guinea worm is a very dangerous disease that can affect especially children and old people. He advised the people to report all cases of guinea worm to the nearest centre for treatment. < Prev Next > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
