in Juba with President Uhuru Kenyatta of during his first official
visit to South Sudan on Thursday evening.

President Kenyatta is being investigated by the ICC for alleged crimes
against humanity during the post-election violence in January 2008.

President Kiir said “we have talked about these problems of the ICC.
[…] It seems that this thing has been meant for African leaders, that
they have to be humiliated.”

He added that South Sudan will not accept the ICC.

"They have been coming to us as a condition that we have to sign the
Rome Statute so that we get assistance, but we have refused", he said.
