*Gunmen overrun militia camp in North Darfur * KABKABIYA (27 June 2013) - A pro-government militia camp near Kabkabiya in North Darfur was reportedly attacked and overrun by gunmen on Wednesday morning. Two militiamen were killed and four others wounded, sources said. Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that “an armed group” attacked the camp in the Arba Byoot area in Wadi Aramba, 13 kilometres north Kabkabiya. They report that the gunmen ‘dispersed the militia’, then took over the camp, capturing weapons and ammunition. The wounded militiamen were transported to Kabkabiya hospital. In a separate incident at Wedei Elteen area east of Jebel ‘Amer on Tuesday, militiamen opened fire on a commercial vehicle carrying a group of passengers from Umm Barwa to Kabkabiya. A civilian was killed and another injured. Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that the militiamen then pillaged all the luggage and belongings of the passengers, as well as the goods in the vehicle. The body of the dead victim and the wounded civilian were taken to hospital in Kabkabiya. *File Photo by Albert González Farran/Unamid* *http://www.radiodabanga.org/node/52424 * -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
